The 7^th International Conference on Operational Research was held from September 30 - October 2, 1998 in the "Park" hotel, in Rovinj, Croatia. It represents a continuity of six previous conferences.

Invited speakers at the 7^th Conference were:
Elise A. del Rosario (San Miguel Corporation, Philippines),
Kresimir Veselic (Fernuniversitaet Hagen, Germany),
Reinhard Wilhelm (Universitaet des Saarlandes, Germany), and
Lidija Zadnik-Stirn (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia).

The Conference had 113 participants. In three sections 75 submitted papers were presented from a broad area of Operational Research and Applied Mathematics and Computation.

The Proceedings of the 7^th International Conference on Operational Research containing selected manuscripts is available in printed form. All papers are uniformly edited in L^AT_EX.
