It has been more than a year since I finished my studies of technical mathematics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. After one year of alternative service, which I did as an ambulance man, I wanted to gain some more experience abroad, so I applied for an IAESTE traineeship.

The focus of my master studies has been logic and theoretical computer science, while I wrote my master's thesis in theoretical cryptography, investigating mathematical foundations of security definitions.

Having the intention to pursue an academic career by writing a PHD-thesis after my training, I was glad to accept the offer to work at the department of mathematics at the University of Osijek. My training started at May 8 and lasts until June 30, my mentor is prof. dr. sc. Rudolf Scitovski. I am currently working on an article that should give some introduction to probabilistic encryption schemes, comprehensible for undergraduate students of mathematics.
